As I understand sport's competition, the joy is in the skill exhibited by the player or the team. I also understand the innate need we all have to win. However, win or lose, we need to exhibit appreciation for a game well played and model good sportsmanship because "that's the right thing to do". Katy, thank you or your courage to write your convictions. Good sportsmanship is a "skill for living".
