Social Educator and Family Support
Maureen Kramer is a supportive, understanding presence for families at Skills for Living. She provides innovative social programming for our youngest and oldest students and their families.
Maureen is a graduate of Boston College School of Nursing and is a Registered Nurse. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from St. Michael’s College. Maureen began her career at The Massasoit School in Braintree, a school for children with a variety of learning, behavioral ,and emotional challenges. Next she worked at The New England Center for Autism, where she taught, developed home behavioral programs, and conducted individualized training with parents. After taking a break from teaching to attend nursing school, Maureen worked as a pediatric nurse on the Neuroscience Unit at Boston’s Children Hospital where her extensive teaching experience served her well in her interactions with patients and families.
